Challenges and Dragon’s Blood!!

Well November is racing by at breakneck speed and I have to say my writing isn’t!! I really need to up my game if I’m going to make my self imposed deadlines.

So with this in mind I accepted a accepted a challenge thrown down by the wonderful Ryan Holmes over on Griffin’s Quill. GAMA 2012 is a competition to help us achieve our goals for November. You have to set yourself weekly challenges which added together make your overall challenge for the month. I have listed my challenges which are basically 34,000 words and making some progress towards promoting Vortex more.

The first week hasn’t gone so well as I had hoped to get the first 8,000 words of my word count down, but I’ve only succeeded in getting 4,000  words written! I did manage to put together some promotional material though and I’ve made a start sending it out to bookshops etc.

I’ll keep you posted on how I’m getting on with this challenge!

During this last week I have also been helping to judge a competition for Catharina Storm, which she has held for her fans and  the followers of her Facebook page Silver Storm Universe. This was great fun and I would like to thank Catharina for asking me to be a judge. The competition was to ‘write a one original line, one sentence to inspire all of us.’ I have to say I was very impressed with the entries. There were two other Judges James Peercy and Jeanice Deering and between us we managed to choose the winners. The results should be up today or tomorrow on Catharina’s FB page so call in there, take a look and be inspired!!

I was recently interviewed by the lovely Kriss Morton for her ‘Make Mine an Orangeberry’ series you can check it out here and get the recipe for  my Dragons Blood drink!!
