The London Book Fair

I am starting to get very excited about the London Book Fair next week. I can only go for one day which is a bit of a shame because it looks like there’s going to be more than enough stuff to fill the full three days of the show for any visitor. But what’s getting me most excited and very scared is that Kobo, who are a major supplier of ebooks (including Vortex 😀 ) have given me a half hour slot in their author lounge at the fair!! So if anyone happens to be going to the fair on Tuesday 16th please call by and see me!!

Kobo and other news

Well I’ve just realised how long it’s been since I last updated my poor neglected blog!! You see I’ve been busy writing like crazy trying to get my work-in-progress, Wicked Game, finished. Due to such feverish writing other parts of my life seem to have ground to a holt.

Even so I have managed to get some other things done, the most impressive of which (to me anyway!) has been to finally publish Vortex as an epub book onKobo!! So if you have a Kobo reader or an epub reader on your computer/tablet/phone etc. you can now download a copy at last! I have also published Vortex on The Best Indie Book Store and it’s being displayed on their home page at the moment!! I’m rolling my sleeves up now and preparing to visit Smashwords to see if I can manage to get it on there too! I am actually scaring myself with my grasp on technology, I’m sure I’ve probably done something wrong and it’ll all go haywire very shortly!! But in the meantime I’m sat here feeling quite smug with myself 🙂

In other news, I’m hoping to go to The London Book Fair in April, I’ve never been before, but it does look quite exciting,  it covers two floors of Earls Court and all the big names in the publishing industry will be there. I’m sure I’m going to find loads of useful information and advice.

And finally, we’re showing Skyfall at our village cinema next week! 🙂 Yes I have already seen it! and Yes I will be watching it again!! I do have two large Skyfall posters of Daniel Craig which may go missing before I have to put them on the sandwich board outside the village hall and end up on my wall instead!!! 😀
